The Scottish Government have spent a lot of time talking about issues outside of their competence, issues like Independence and international relations. Yet the Scottish Government are responsible for Scotland’s NHS, Education, Justice and policing, and many other facets of day-to-day life.
The SNP in the Scottish Government have run out of ideas for all of these. No new policy is being made, the SNP are simply running down the clock and hoping enough people will re-elect them at the next Scottish Parliament Election.
In our communities we see on a daily basis the result of this apathy from the SNP. GP services are not getting better, Scottish education is in crisis, there are fewer police now than there were when the SNP came into power in 2007, and taxpayers’ money is being spent on furthering the Scottish Independence campaign. Worryingly, single-sex spaces have been eroded in Public buildings – swimming pools, school toilets, hospitals, etc – putting the safety of women and girls at risk.
I have long campaigned for the creation of a new Laurencekirk Junction, and for a safer A90 in general. This affects many residents and puts some people off driving on to the A90 at all. I’m particularly interested in finding out what your experience with this road and junction is.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you in response to the Survey.
