There’s been a lot of discussion around the proposed new Farmfoods development on the former Seaforth Hotel site, and I know many people in Arbroath will have strong views both positive and negative.
As Councillor for Arbroath East and Lunan, I want to hear directly from local residents, businesses and community groups about what you think this development could mean for our town.
The Seaforth site has stood vacant for many years following the devastating fire in 2006, and any proposal for redevelopment naturally raises important questions around regeneration, jobs, traffic, town centre impact and the future direction of Arbroath.
Some will welcome investment into a long-derelict site, while others may have concerns about the effect on existing businesses and the wider community. Every view matters.
I’d encourage residents to share their thoughts respectfully:
* Do you support the proposed development?
* What benefits or concerns do you see?
* How do you think this fits into the future of Arbroath?
I’ll continue listening to all sides before any final position is taken.
