Powrie Brae Statue
Angus & Dundee Black Watch Associations

This memorial recognises the sacrifices of 440 soldiers of the Black Watch recruited in Dundee, Angus & Fife who died in the Second World War.

Today we saw members of the Angus & Dundee branches of the Black Watch Association gather at Powrie Brae Statue on Remembrance Sunday to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

Major (retired) Councillor Ronnie Proctor is the nominated Armed Forces & Veterans Champion in Angus and supports all veterans in this area.
