About Craig,
Craig Fotheringham has been reselected to run as Scottish Conservative & Unionist candidate for the Monifieth & Sidlaw ward.
Craig says it has been a tremendous privilege to represent you all over the last 9 and a half years, and have thoroughly enjoyed working closely with local groups and community councils across the ward.
I am delighted to endorse and support, local resident, Calum Nicol, who has been selected by the local Conservative and Unionist Association, to stand, alongside myself in the Monifieth & Sidlaw ward, at the forthcoming local elections on May 5th.
Calum and his wife live locally, with their two young children and I know that he will serve this community and the wider population of Angus with enthusiasm, professionalism and respect for any issues that you may raise with him.
We have a very good chance of electing two Conservatives to represent the ward and with your support this can be achieved. It has been an absolute privilege to serve and represent you since 2012 and I thank you all for your support during my term of office.
Craig FOTHERINGHAM ... my priorities for Monifieth & Sidlaw are
- Protect local businesses and employees from unnecessary taxation as proposed by the SNP workplace parking charges.
- Ensure Angus Council puts people first by maintaining charges that are among the lowest council tax rates and council house rents in Scotland.
- Deliver improvements to roads, pavements and paths, ensuring our towns and villages are accessible to all.
- Oppose the SNP’s proposals for another referendum at the taxpayers’ expense.
- Support Angus Council in maintaining its position as No 1 Local Authority for recycling.
- Provide an education system that allows ALL children & young people to maximise on their strengths and talents.
- Look after the welfare of our citizens with better housing and equality for all.
- Make Angus Council more effective, so we can balance the budget at a time of huge funding cuts and protect frontline services.
