Craig Fotheringham is a Scottish Conservative and Unionist councillor for the Monifieth and Sidlaw ward and has represented the area since his election in 2012.
He currently serves as Provost of Angus Council, acting as the civic head of the authority and representing the Council at official and ceremonial events across Angus. Alongside this role, Craig is Leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Group on Angus Council, providing political leadership and direction for the group within the authority.
Craig sits on the Council’s Development Standards Committee, Housing Committee, and Scrutiny and Audit Committee, where he contributes to decision-making on planning, housing, and governance matters. He also represents Angus Council on a number of external bodies, including the Tayside Contracts Joint Committee, the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board, the Tayside Valuation Joint Board, and the Angus Council Charitable Trust.
He lives locally and has longstanding links to Monifieth and Sidlaw. As a councillor, Craig takes a practical and community-focused approach, working with residents, local groups, and partner organisations to represent the area effectively within Angus Council.
