About Gavin,
Gavin Nicol is your Scottish Conservative and Unionist
candidate for Brechin and Edzell
Gavin has represented the ward for the past five years.
Gavin has held the position Convenor for the Tayside
Valuation Board, Convenor of Tayside Contracts, Convenor
of the Development Management Review Committee, and
Vice Convenor of Development Standards. He is also on
Children and Learning and Licensing Committees. All of
these positions demand a great deal of work and are very
important to represent the community.
Gavin is always happy to help his constituents with any local
issues they may have, and he would relish the opportunity to
continue to represent the people of Brechin and Edzell.
Gavin NICOL my priorities for Brechin & Edzell are....
- Oppose SNP/Green plans for workplace parking
- Protect our local services, including ensuring that our leisure centres and access offices see no further cuts to opening hours.
- If elected ensure our council tax is kept as one of the lowest in Scotland.
- Deliver more improvements to our roads, pavements, and crossings – making our towns accessible for all.
- Deliver more affordable housing to Brechin and Edzell ward.
- Make our council more effective, so we can balance the budget at a time of huge funding cuts and protect frontline services.
- Provide an education system that allows all children and young people to maximise on their strengths and talents.
